Built by a well-off couple in 1891, the Queen Anne-styled Heritage House reflects early 20th century life in Riverside, during the time of the citrus industry boom. Managed by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, the residence is decorated with period furnishings and materials such as a beautiful oak floor, varied wallpapers and carefully carved furniture. Surrounded by gardens that reflect those of many households in the early 1900s, the house is a few miles outside of downtown, about a mile northeast of the Sherman Indian Museum.
Open Sep - Jun: Fri. noon - 3:00 p.m.; Sat. - Sun. noon - 3:30 p.m.
